Experimental determination of intelligible crosstalk on the prototype of the Symphonie satellite in response to interfering reflections on the free-space test path at La Turbie. II
Abstract
Calculations of crosstalk suppression and comparison of experimental and predicted values are discussed. The measurements show that intelligible crosstalk can be measured to high accuracy on a satellite path even under exacting conditions. A suitable procedure capable of eliminating interfering reflections is a must. AM/PM conversion contributions to crosstalk are taken into account. A simple technique for routine work and a technique exorbitant in time and expense were tested on the path.
