IIL and standard bipolar technology combined - A new process for digital and analog circuits on a chip
Abstract
Integrated injection logic (IIL) technology is characterized, in relation to merged transistor logic, direct coupled transistor logic, and some variants of Schottky transistor logic, and the high-gain process in the IIL/standard-bipolar combination is described. The high-gain process is developed on the basis of a special photomasking process to achieve current amplification with IIL transistors. Digital and analog circuitry is realized on a common semiconductor crystal chip in one process. Performance characteristics and chip architecture are illustrated.
