Evidence for coherent noise in pumped Schottky-diode mixers
Abstract
It is found that anomalies in the measured noise performance of Schottky barrier mixers may be due to the coherence of various Fourier components of diode shot noise. It is determined that a lossy two-port is not useful as a noise model, and that mixer noise may be only described in terms of output noise, since coherence occurs only at the IF.
