Modification and operation of a size selective atmospheric particulate sampler
Abstract
A size-selective total suspended particulate sampler has been modified in order to obtain more complete particulate collection. Using the modified sampler and a high volume method, 58 concurrent 24-hour samples were analyzed. The data obtained suggest that there is a seasonal dependence between high volume and size-selective methods. Although an increase in collection efficiency is noted after sampler modification, there is a significant difference between the size-selective sampler and the high volume results.
