Problems posed by the study of creeping waves
Abstract
The geometric theory of diffraction is used to describe the scattering of a creeping wave by a surface discontinuity when the diffracting body is composed of geometrical combinations of elementary smooth surfaces. Modifications of the formulation are considered for cases in which the general theory of diffraction is inapplicable. Experimental validation of results predicted by the theory is reported.
