Studying high energy cosmic rays by using emulsion stack connected with ionisation calorimeter
Abstract
Interactions of nuclei with nuclei at energies above 1 TeV were recorded by instruments aboard the Intercosmos 6 satellite, including a large emulsion stack, two track spark chambers, an ionization calorimeter, two scintillators, and photographic equipment. In five events selected for analysis, as a result of 67 interactions of nucleons covered in the nuclei, 223 particles were created, or an average multiplicity per one interacting nucleon of 3.3 + or - 0.7.
