Broad-band infrared colors and CO and H2O absorption indices for late-type dwarf stars.
Abstract
Broad-band J - H, H - K, and V - K colors and intermediate-band CO (2.36 and H2O(2.0 ) indices are presented for 41 dwarf stars spread over a range of effective temperature corresponding to 1.2< V - K <7.6. The data are compared with colors and band strengths predicted from the models of Mould. The agreement in the details of the comparison is not entirely satisfactory.
