The Cygnus X region VIII: maps of calibrated surface brightness of (Halpha + [N II]).

Photoelectric and photographic observations of the HIl regions in the Cygnus X region are combined to produce contour maps of the emission of H + [NIl]. The data, analysis, and calibration network are described. Photographs and calibrated contour maps of the absolute surface brightness (ergs s 1ster-1) in the Hz + [Nil] lines are presented for 24 plates covering the Cygnus X region. For several HIl regions the ratio of I([NII])/I(Hz) is also determined by photoelectric observations. The effectively constant ratio allows the use of the maps for the intensity of Hz alone.
