Photographic methods of studying the earth from space
Abstract
The development of satellite-borne photographic systems for sensing the earth surface in the visible and near infrared ranges is considered. Ways of increasing the information content of spaceborne photographs and methods of choosing optimal parameters of the photographic equipment are described. Photographic systems are compared with other satellite-borne remote sensors of the earth surface.
