Development of functional microstrip components
Abstract
Variations of the dielectric constant and the thickness of aluminum oxide substrates were studied by measuring capacitance values. Resonance frequencies were measured to study quasilumped inductances and capacitances, inhomogeneities of strip lines, circular resonators, directional couplers, and slot lines. A simple method was developed for the design of directional couplers having an increased directivity. The favorable properties of a slot line used as symmetrical transformer were used in the design of a mixer.
