About antenna problems in the application of microwaves in nondestructive testing
Abstract
The characteristics of several types of antennas used for nondestructive testing of nonmetallic materials by microwaves are discussed. Microwaves are used to detect inhomogeneities - inclusions, voids, material separations, or changes in material quality - in plate-shaped objects. The paper describes equipment and scanning techniques that can be used to study plate-shaped objects.
