Mosaic sensor signal processor
Abstract
The paper describes an electro-optical system operating in a staring mode for the detection and location of space targets against background noise. The signal processing system is composed principally of three functional modes: signal conditioning, feature extraction, and data classification, and makes use of synchronous analog and digital processing. CCD buffer storage and LSI circuits are used to avoid high speed analog to digital conversion and memory searches.
