Variational formulations for the elasto acoustic vibration problem - Finite element results
Abstract
The finite element method is used for the computation of the vibrational modes of the system constituted by a compressible fluid contained in an elastic enclosure. We propose, on one hand, a direct approach based on a three fields mixed variational formulation, and on the other hand, a variational modal interaction scheme enabling the use of the acoustic modes of the fluid in a rigid motionless enclosure and the structural modes of the enclosure.
