Workshop on Viscous Interaction and boundary-layer separation
Abstract
The purpose of the workshop was to assess the current state of progress and to stimulate further efforts toward the goal of practical and reliable analysis of viscous flows at high Reynolds numbers. For definiteness, the scope of the workshop was limited to theoretical aspects of the subject, with emphasis placed on fundamental ideas and problem areas rather than on details of computations and results. Only abstracts of the papers were requested in order to promote informality and a free interchange of ideas. Each participant was given twenty minutes for a presentation on recent research efforts (in most cases work in progress was reported), followed by approximately ten minutes of lively discussion.
