Simple vulnerability model
Abstract
In order to determine the vulnerability of a target, a model was developed which, in contrast to usual procedures, does not make use of the Monte Carlo method. For one determination of the vulnerability of the target, each component is considered only once and, according to its size, position and destruction sensitivity, its contribution to the probability of destroying the target is determined. It was possible to achieve very short computing times. The method is illustrated with the aid of an example, and the range of its possible use is shown.
