Measurement technology applied to source emissions - Present needs and developments
Abstract
A review is presented of specifications for methods of measuring and identifying industrial air-pollutants in the United States. The types of measurements prescribed in the regulations are summarized and measurement techniques are presented and classified at various stages of development. Attention is also given to measurements currently needed to characterize emissions that have potential for impact on ambient air quality or are potentially hazardous by virtue of their physical, chemical or biological properties.
