Measurement of NOx exhaust emissions by a new NDUV analyzer
Abstract
A continuous, automatic NO monitoring instrument based on the resonance-line absorption technique (nondispersive UV analyzer) is described. The system includes an NO2-to-NO converter which enables measurement of NOx. The lower detectable limit of the instrument is about 0.5 ppm NOx. Field correlation tests with a chemiluminescent analyzer for both stationary-source and engine-emission monitoring are reported.
