Analytical emission spectrography with the induction-coupled argon plasma source. Part 2: Analysis of nickel-base alloys
Abstract
An induction-coupled argon plasma source, combined with an ultrasonic nebulizing system and a large quartz spectrograph, was applied to the determination of cobalt (0.25 to 1.25%), iron (0.2 to 0.4%), manganese (0.05 to 0.25%), tantalum (0.03 to 0.35%), titanium (0.8 to 1.5 %), and zirconium (0.04 to 0.2%) in nickel alloys. The precision, with nickel as internal standard, is of the order 2 to 3%. No serious matrix effects were encountered.
