Role of buffer gases in lasers working on copper vapors
Abstract
The output parameters of a copper-vapor laser are calculated with allowance for energy losses by ionization and excitation of helium atoms. Plots of the current pulse and lasing pulse at 5105 A, obtained in the approximation of instantaneous ionization and also without allowance for the ionization of excited helium atoms are presented and discussed.
