Calculation of velocity profile in two-phase disperse-annular flow
Abstract
An expression for calculating the longitudinal flow rate of vapor in a vapor-water mixture under disperse turbulent flow conditions is derived within the framework of semiempirical turbulence theories. It is assumed that heat and mass transfer between the vapor and droplets is absent, that the fluid film at the wall is thin and stable, and that adiabatic conditions are retained at the wall. The two-phase flow is represented as a homogeneous core of a Newtonian fluid and a fluid film moving along the wall.
