Temperature fields of rod-shaped fuel elements arranged in a regular lattice, in the case of laminar flow of the coolant
Abstract
A fuel element/coolant system with constant properties is studied, assuming steady-state heat transfer and uniform heat release in fuel elements with axisymmetric properties. The mean laminar volume heat transfer in square and triangular lattices is calculated, along with the temperature nonuniformity at the fuel-element surface.
