Use of a unified curve of corrections to Pitot tube readings in a rarefied supersonic flow
Abstract
Methods of using a unified curve of corrections for determining the magnitude of the correction factor to be applied to Pitot tube readings or in calculating the Mach number from Pitot tube measurements in a rarefied gas flow are considered. A relation is given allowing to take into account a correction for conductivity of the Pitot tube channel in a hypersonic flow.
