Heat transfer in cross flow past a square prism having a smooth or finned surface
Abstract
Measurements were made of the local and mean heat transfer coefficients in a cross flow past a square prism with smooth or finned surface for various angles of attack. It is shown that in the conditions studied the distributions of the local heat transfer coefficients practically coincided. Mean heat transfer coefficient for a finned prism does not depend on angle of attack, while it does so in the case of a smooth prism.
