The influence of ceramic permanent magnets on the armature of a small potential dc motor
Abstract
The amplitude of the radial and tangential components of the magnetic field due to the armature current are determined, allowing the identification of the permanent magnet areas in which irreversible demagnetization is possible. Some dimensioning criteria for the permanent magnets are also deduced and the increase in the number of rotor slots compatible with technology and economics is suggested.
