Basic equations for nonreacting Newtonian fluids in curvilinear, nonorthogonal, and accelerated coordinate systems
Abstract
Procedures for writing the basic fluid mechanical equations for a Newtonian fluid relative to a noninertial reference frame of general nonorthogonal and curvilinear coordinates are reported. The constitutive equations are also discussed and refer to a compressible Newtonian fluid. A survey of nonCartesian tensor analysis is provided. The flow distribution around finite cambered swept wings is discussed.
