Electromagnetic radiation from a rocket motor
Abstract
EMP payload on the Waso rocket experiment permitted a quantitative measurement of electromagnetic radiation generated by the Terrier and Sandhawk solid propellant rocket motors. Field strength of 6-MHz-bandwidth signals through six filtered channels with center frequencies of 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 MHz was recorded. These data together with some qualitative observations are presented.
