Application of the multirevolution orbit prediction method
Abstract
A general multirevolution algorithm that can be used with any element set and is adaptable to any orbit computation software system was developed. Of special interest is its use on orbits perturbed by a massive body that lies external to the satellite orbit. The theoretical background is discussed and details of the computer program are given. Numerical experiments on three types of satellite orbits, a geosynchronous orbit, an elliptical orbit and a HEOS-type orbit, are presented.
