Target stimulated laser breakdown in air
Abstract
A CO2-TEA laser is focused on different targets in air and a simple method is used to measure the average temperature of the produced plasma. The interdependence between this temperature, the physico-chemical properties of the target and the quantities of laser evaporated material is discussed.
