Contribution to the theory of the magnetron waveguide
Abstract
The propagation of waves in a coaxial waveguide with metallic lamellae placed radially on the external and internal semiconductors is analyzed, assuming that the lamellae have a zero thickness and that all metallic surfaces are ideal conductors. A solution to the propagation problem is obtained in the form of a system of linear algebraic equations. The solution can be used to calculate electrodynamic characteristics for any relationship between the wavelength and waveguide dimensions. Expressions for calculating the dispersion and field distribution of TE and TM waves in the case of a large number of lamellae are proposed.
