Satellite communications
Abstract
A review of the technology and uses of satellite communications is presented. The major features of present domestic and international systems are discussed, and the characteristics of the Intelsat IV international satellite are given. The launch of the RCA Satcom I is described. Future trends in satellite telecommunications technology are briefly considered.
