Recording of a traveling interference pattern of optical fields of different frequencies generated by two fixed point sources
Abstract
A holographic record was obtained of a traveling interference pattern of optical fields of different frequencies produced by two point sources fixed exactly in space. Traveling harmonics of frequencies up to 21.3 kHz, formed as a result of the superposition of two beams, were recorded as a diffraction grating inclined at an angle a to the direction of motion of the recording medium. A triple superposition of holographic records of traveling harmonics was obtained for angles α = 0, 45, and 90°. Relationships between the recording parameters and permissible blurring of the grating were derived. The diffraction efficiency was determined experimentally as a function of the parameter a. Practical applications of the proposed method were considered.
