Angle sensor with a rotor in the form of a short-circuited coil and its approximate theoretical investigation
Abstract
The paper describes the design and operation of an angle sensor with a rotor in the form of a short-circuited coil for use in gyroscopic instruments. The immobile part (stator) of the sensor is a magnetic circuit with excitation and signal coils on top of it. The rotor consists of a copper-wire short-circuited coil encompassing the central part of the connector of the magnetic circuit. The principle of operation is based on the electromotive forces of different amplitude induced in the two signal coils by magnetic flux from the excitation coil.
