Effect of the parameters of the discharge circuit on the mode of energy input into the gas during self-sustained discharge
Abstract
A model is presented for calculating the characteristics of the self-sustained discharge used for pumping electric-discharge lasers. The dependence of the mode of energy input on the parameters of the discharge circuit - voltage breakdown, overvoltage resulting in periodic voltage and current and gas pressure - is studied for the case of a CO2-N2-He laser. The calculations are performed for a discharge circuit with the following parameters: C = 4 x 10 to the -10 F and L = 1.5 x 10 to the -6 to 2 x 10 to the -5 H.
