Gas breakdown threshold measurements using a pulsed HF/DF laser
Abstract
Breakdown thresholds and their variation with pressure have been measured for air, N 2 and Ar using a pulsed unstable resonator HF laser. For air at atmospheric pressure a threshold of ∽ 6 X 10 10W · cm -2 was determined. Data on air breakdown thresholds with DF laser radiation are also presented.
