Precision measurement of relative oscillator strengths - III. Fe I transitions from levels a5D2 (0.09 eV), a5D1 (0.11 eV) and a5D0 (0.12 eV).
Abstract
New oscillator strengths determined using the absorption technique as practised at Oxford are given for 20 lines of Fe I having excitation potentials between and eV, together with a listing of those already determined at Oxford for excitation potentials 0.00 and 0.05 eV. The uncertainty of the measures is about 0'02 dex. Comparison is made with measurements using other methods, and it is shown that systematic differences exist between absorption and emission measurements.
