Correlation analysis of the distribution of 3000 faint galaxies
Abstract
The angular covariance function has been computed for the distribution of 3054 faint galaxy images on a IIIaJ UK Schmidt plate, in an area of 2 square degrees near the South Galactic Pole. A simple interpretation of the results is that there is clustering of galaxies present with a scale length of A I Mpc.
