The main sequence defined by trigonometrical parallaxes
Abstract
Trigonometrical parallaxes with probable errors less than 15 per cent of the quantity sought as given in Royal Observatory Annals, 5 (the Catalogue of stars within 25 pc of the Sun) define a Main Sequence of stars of luminosity class V which stands on its own feet but may be compared with, and lies within about a fifteen hundredths of a magnitude above, the Hyades Main Sequence as given by Johnson & Knuckles.
