Perspectives spatiales pour l'astrométrie
Abstract
The paper discusses the status of several projects in space astrometry. Two of these projects involve the establishing of a good reference sphere with the aid of either Spacelab or a TD satellite. The Spacelab option would involve position measurements of 2000 stars of magnitude less than 7, with 15,000 arc measurements over two years for giving a well defined system, with absolute parallaxes and positions and relative motions with accuracy close to that of the individual arcs. With the TD satellite the times of passage of stars on a grid in the focal plane will be studied.
