Electro-hydraulic shaking machine. I - Influence of load weight and their compensation. II - Development of acceleration control type shaking machine
Abstract
The influence of the load weight of test structures on the control characteristics of an electrohydraulic shaking machine used for earthquake simulation is investigated. An automatic feedback gain controller has been developed to adjust the feedback gains to the optimum values depending on the load weight. Acceleration control of a shaking machine is also examined, and a control system with feedforward and feedback loop is discussed. It is shown that the response of a control system is improved without loss of stability by pole-zero cancellation when feedforward and feedback signals are added with proper rate.
