Flow between two rotating concentric spheres
Abstract
A numerical method of solution of Navier-Stokes equations for the viscous flow of an incompressible fluid between two concentric rotating spheres is presented. The steady solution is obtained from the unsteady equations using a stream function-vorticity formulation. The nonuniqueness of the solution, in some cases, is demonstrated numerically and checked experimentally by visualization of the flow.
