Convective mass transfer from a cone to a nonlinearly viscous fluid with allowance for the kinetics of a heterogeneous reaction
Abstract
The mass transfer from a conical electrode with a flowing nonlinearly viscous liquid is analyzed, assuming that a first-order chemical reaction takes place on the electrode surface and that boundary layer thickness is much smaller than the radius of curvature of cone. It is shown that the conditions under which the reaction takes place depend on configuration of the electrode surface, the flow rate and properties of the liquid, and the specific reaction rate.
