Pseudorandom arrays generated by two-dimensional digital filtering
Abstract
Two-dimensional filtering of pseudorandom binary arrays, with random arrays and pseudorandom arrays assigned a role analogous to that performed by random sequences and pseudorandom sequences in one-dimensional systems, is discussed. Two-dimensional digital filtering of a two-dimensional periodic binary array to achieve a multilevel array, and resulting modifications of the power spectrum, probability density function, and autocorrelation function of the array, are dealt with.
