Model of the cell of a multiple-front gas detonation
Abstract
A model of a multiple-front gas detonation, with a regular cell, in a plane channel is proposed. A schematic representation of the process in the cell is presented. A closed system of equations describing the kinematics and the geometrical relations in the cell is derived. The kinematic and geometrical relations obtained are used in combination with the reaction kinetics (in Arrhenius form) in the induction zone to derive an expression for the dimensions of the cell.
