S.A.W. frequency synthesis using a monolithic ZnO-on-Si convolver
Abstract
A synthesizer for frequency-hopped waveforms is demonstrated by mixing two chirp signals in a zinc-oxide-on-silicon surface-acoustic-wave nondegenerate convolver. The convolution electrode is segmented into taps which can be independently switched on or off. A separate frequency output is available at each tap.
