Diffraction radiation generator for the millimeter range with a reflector of electron flow
Abstract
The diffraction radiation generator (DRG) for the millimeter range (3.8 + 5.6 mm) with a reflector of electron flow instead of commutator is experimentally studied. It is established that the reflectors used in the diffraction radiation generator allow one to reduce considerably starting currents of the generator, to retune generation frequency (nonpower retuning) by changing voltage on the reflector, and to increase the generation power at small magnetic focusing fields where the output power of the spanned DRG is negligible.
