Antennas and central HF cabling
Abstract
Technical details are presented on the antennas and the cabling for the orbit determination radio interferometer. The directional antenna array consists of 3b crossed dipoles, with an amplitude distribution according to Dolph-Chebyshev. A capacitively coupled network is used for distribution. The internal cabling consists of temperature stabilized styroflex HF cables. The central HF cables between antenna and control console, the antenna coupler, and the pressurized air supply are also dealt with.
