The form of hollow gas-jets under the action of pressure forces at various angles at the nozzle exit
Abstract
Objects of this investigation are hollow gas-jets with rotational symmetry. Under the assumption of inviscid flow the jet contour is calculated as a function of the external pressure and of the flow angle as determined by the nozzle design. Experimental results for supersonic hollow jets with various flow angles at the nozzle exit and various pressure differences are in satisfactory agreement with calculations.
