A free boundary problem as related to the study of fluid motion in an open basin
Abstract
The motion of a viscous incompressible fluid in an open basin and the configuration of the free surface are studied through use of the Navier-Stokes equations. For the case of a two-dimensional fluid with small scale, at least one solution is found to exist.
