Recombination-line and continuum observations of compact H II regions at 10.5 GHz.
Abstract
H85 alpha recombination-line and 10.5-GHz continuum data are presented for 20 compact H II regions and one probable supernova remnant. Electron temperature, turbulent velocity, and emission measure are calculated for the thermal sources, and compared with similar results from earlier surveys. The present observations give higher values of temperature and emission measure. This is considered to be due to a smaller half-power beamwidth (2.8 arcmin). There is a suggestion of a correlation between electron temperature and distance from the Galactic center.
