Four-color and Hbeta photometry for open clusters. XI. The Pleiades.

Abstract

We have used photoelectric uvby 13 photometry for 83 B-, A-, and F-type stars in the Pleiades cluster to derive an average color excess of E (b - y ) = 0 ).4 and distance modulus of V0 - M = 5"'.54. The reddening is variable over the field. There is a rotational velocity effect on the c1 index for the A- and F-type stars.
